Construction Plan

Huanxi Special Steel's power supply voltage level is 110kV, which is reduced to 10kV through a transformer and supplied to various factory buildings in the plant. Based on Huanxi's current electricity load and transformer capacity, a capacity of 15MW/30.09MWh energy storage station is planned , equipped with 6 sets of 5.015MWh Container battery storage system ,6 sets of 2.5MW Intergrate PCS and MV SKID, and a complete energy management system (EMS ). The system will operate at 10kV grid connection.

Benefit Analysis

Energy storage station helps high-energy-consuming factories like steel manufactures quickly realize cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

 

The total investment for this project is approximately 32.5 million yuan. According to the Electricity purchasing price of Huanxi Special Steel:High Peak price: 0.97 yuan/kWh (June-August, November-January), peak price: 0.84 yuan/kWh, flat price: 0.58 yuan/kWh, valley price: 0.32 yuan/kWh.

 

Based on the classification of peak, flat, and valley time periods, the energy storage system can achieve 2 charge - discharge circles per day throughout the year. In the first cycle, the system will be charged during the valley time and discharged during the peak time (price difference of 0.52 yuan/kWh); in the second cycle, the system will be charged during the flat time and discharged during the peak time (price difference of 0.39 yuan/kWh). This could save an average of 6.95 million yuan in electricity costs per year. Based on 6,600 charge-discharge cycles over the battery's full life cycle (approximately 10 years), it is expected to recover the initial investment cost of the project in 4.6 years. The entire life cycle could average a savings of 69.5 million yuan in electricity costs for Huanxi Special Steel.
